Ott's Bed & Bark Fest pet hotel is situated in a country setting in Bernstadt, (Swiss Colony area) Kentucky. We are conveniently located 4 1/2 miles west of London, and 30 miles east of Somerset. The facility is a short 5 minutes ' drive from Interstate 75 when exiting from London Exit 41. We are a family owned and operated business and offer pet services that include a boarding facility as well as pet grooming, pet salon and spa, Grooming by Brooke, owner of Pampered Pooch Salon .

Our thermostatically controlled boarding suites are tailored to meet guests' needs ensuring a comfortable stay while away from home. Indoor quarters offer privacy and a sense of well-being. Each apartment has an outside patio that is sheltered against the elements. Boarders have access to each compartment through a personal doggy door. Food and water are served in stainless steel bowls and pails which are attached to the doors to prevent spillage and promote cleanliness. Kennels are sanitized and disinfected prior to the admittance of new guests.

Our facility offers 2 fenced outdoor play areas--one under roof shielding from the elements, and the other an open grass area.

Since our residence shares adjacent property with the boarding kennel, we are on-site around the clock to safeguard our residents. Additional security features include 24 hour surveillance cameras, security fencing, and a gated exercise area. We are located across the street from Swiss Colony Fire Department.

Boarding Requirements



We offer overnight and extended boarding facilities to our guests.

EARLY PICK UP POLICY--Full payment is expected at check in for the nights that have been reserved for your pet(s).
NO REFUNDS for EARLY PICKUPS.

Full payment is expected at check-in.

Please respect our business hours and plan accordingly to arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to closing to allow us time to meet your pet(s) needs.

We WILL NOT be in the reception area outside of posted times.

We accept payment by cash, check, and debit/credit card. There is an additional 4% handling charge when using debit/credit cards to cover processing fees.

As required by state law, there will be a 6% sales tax added to boarding fees.

Pets must be vaccinated a minimum of 10 days' prior to boarding.

Pets must be free of ticks and fleas.
Please de-worm your pets regularly.

Pet owners are expected to provide their pet's food during the entire stay with us. If no food is provided, or if the supply is exhausted, there will be an additional $3 charge per day/per dog for daily feedings.

Pet owners supply food, treats, and toys. We DO NOT allow rawhide or stuffed toys due to safety concerns for your pet.

Any food allergies, special needs/instructions, or medical conditions must be provided in written form at check in.

Pet owners are asked to supply pill pockets for pets who require oral medications.

There is an additional $2 charge per day/per dog for pets requiring medications during their stay.

We DO NOT administer medications requiring injections.

We DO NOT administer eye drops or ear treatments/medications unless the pet is totally compliant.

2 Nights -- $30/Night


3 - 6 Nights -- $25/Night


7+ Nights -- $20/Night


$10 Charge per Additional Guest Sharing a Room

There is an additional 6% Kentucky sales tax added to boarding fees.


Full payment is expected at check-in. We accept payment by cash, check, and debit/credit card.


There is an additional 4% service fee to cover processing fees when paying with debit/credit card.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We require a 72 hour notice to avoid a $40 fee made within 72 hours of arrival, and for NO-SHOWS.

the ott family has been a familiar face in laurel county since 1878, when the first ott's store was opened in the bernstadt community. rick ott, a fourth generation owner/operator, recently retired from the business after 39 years of service. tami ott, owner of rheinhardt kennels, has been breeding german shepherds for more than 25 years. we proudly breed quality import dogs and strive to improve the lines within our breeding program. we are committed to providing a clean, comfortable environment that will enhance your pet's boarding experience.
